‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3, episode 3 video: Is Jane about to lose it?

Jane -Are we just about at the moment on “Jane the Virgin” where things could change? While we’re sure that there is some temptation to have this show keep that “virgin” part of the title for the entirety of its run, we’re glad to see that they’re not doing that. Monday night’s new episode, based on the way in which it’s being promoted, suggests to us that we are going to see a major change coming up. The promo below also certainly suggests that Jane and Michael are getting set to finally give things a go before they realize, rather unfortunately, that there are many people in the way — and Jane’s not down for losing her virginity in a shed.

The synopsis below also gives you a little more insight into how this story will unfold:

“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) continues to work on her thesis and she decides to add Alba’s (Ivonne Coll) estranged sister to the narrative, much to Alba’s dismay. In order for Rogelio (Jaime Camil) to have a chance at being an American crossover star he decides to bring the Passions of Santos to The CW in hopes they will pick it up. Xo (Andrea Navedo) thinks about abandoning her dream of being a singer for something more realistic. Meanwhile, Luisa (guest star Yara Martinez) is forced to make a choice between her family or Rose (guest star Bridget Regan).”

First of all, we love that The CW exists as a separate entity within this world. It’s a little bit odd, but at the same time it makes some sense given that this is a network that is airing a soapy / fun show with a largely-Latino cast. Why wouldn’t they give something a try within this world, as well?

Anyway, Monday’s episode could be a foundation-shaker in terms of the entire series. We just hope that there is some significant development, given that we can already predict some of the fan revolts if nothing happens after this huge degree of hype. (Photo: The CW.)
