‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 5 preview: What’s up in ‘Weaponizer’

Tonight’s new episode of “Lucifer” certainly had quite a few fun moments, but there was also some drama and some surprising events to boot. Given everything that is going on with this show at the moment, did you really expect anything less?

Moving into the next new episode entitled “Weaponizer,” we are going to get a chance to see some more of Lucifer’s vices: His love for action movies! Unfortunately, this is not exactly coming under the best of circumstances for him; he has to investigate the death of one of his favorite actors — but he may still find a little bit of perverse enjoyment in this. Also, be prepared for some more family conflict, which has become largely a recurring theme on the series as of late. Ever since Lucifer’s mother showed up, it’s as though every issue and conflict from the past has been drudged up and pulled to the surface.

Synopsis – “Lucifer is excited to investigate the murder of his favorite action movie hero, Wesley Cabot. Longtime rival Rolf Van Zandt initially is a suspect, but the investigation soon shifts. Meanwhile, Uriel (guest star Michael Imperioli) shows up and Amenadiel is forced to come clean about his lost powers. Also, Lucifer and Uriel fight about Chloe and their mother.”

Promo – Check it out below. The biggest story for the hour, contrary to what the synopsis tells you, could very well be Chloe in danger. The NEXT story may very well be about Uriel showing up and causing a wide array of incidents. Let’s just say that Tom Ellis’ character is more than likely going to have his hands full with this one. We’re excited to see how this story develops.
