The Battle Rounds on “The Voice” will continue Monday night with a new episode, and for some particularly sad reason, NBC is not releasing too much in the way of a sneak peek in advance. We’re just going to have to take what we can get here, and that includes the new sneak peek below.
In this preview, you can see the battles “rage on” with a number of notable artists featured, including Josh Halverson and Darby Walker, two who we personally feel to be favorites to make it fairly fare. Oh, and we also see Miley Cyrus choosing to steal someone by pressing the button with her tongue — yeah, it’s kind of gross, but isn’t this really what you hire Miley to do on this show?
The one thing that frustrates us about this preview is the extreme amount of hyperbole that the network is throwing in here, making it seem as though we’re going to see something crazy that has never been done before when in reality, we’re probably going to be seeing something that’s been done every single season: Steals. They always happen, and there are also always a few of them that are extremely predictable to watch. For example, we’re going to end up seeing two artists at the end of the show battle it out, and the assumption will be there that one of them will end up on a team. That’s just the sort of thing that happens.
One way or another, we presume that there will be a lot of good singing tonight to go along with the “drama” of the steals — let’s just hope that everything proves entertaining enough to justify the show effectively giving us only six battles over the course of six hours.
