‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 5 preview: Duane Henry’s back in ‘Philly’

Duane -Tonight, “NCIS” aired an episode that had a little bit of everything. There was some action, there was plenty of drama, and there was also a little bit of romance on the McGee front. This is a show balancing quite a few different things at present, and moving into next week’s “Philly,” there is going to be another element of change ahead. After being away for a few episodes Duane Henry is set to return as the awesome MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves, and this will be the beginning of his journey as a series regular.

Just in case you’re curious how he’s coming back, rest assured: We’ve got that information for you below courtesy of CBS.

Synopsis – “When a missing MI6 Officer is linked to a murdered petty officer, Gibbs sends Quinn and Bishop to Philadelphia to work with MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry). Also, Quinn painfully recounts the NCIS case that made her leave field work.”

Seeing Henry back is going to be the main event coming into this episode, and understandably so given the impression that he made during his brief appearance last season. With him, Jennifer Esposito, and Wilmer Valderrama all joining the cast, this show is suddenly going to feel even more like an ensemble than ever before.

In speaking of Esposito, this episode seems like a prime opportunity to get one of the best performances from her in her short time that she has been on the show. Given the sort of passion that she shows through her work now, we imagine that it had to take something fairly dramatic to convince her to go away from field work and into teaching for some time.
