‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: See Patrick J. Adams’ return — and the full JSA

JSA -

At the end of “Legends of Tomorrow” season 1, we had one of the most epic of cliffhangers courtesy of an appearance from “Suits” star Patrick J. Adams as Rex Tyler, a man otherwise known in the DC Comics world as Hourman. Given that Adams is an exceptionally-busy guy thanks to doing 16 episodes a year of the USA drama, we weren’t sure when he was going to make it back here. We know he’s important, given that he is a member of the Justice Society of America, and he gave a warning to the Legends before the end credits rolled.

Well, we are happy to report now that he will be present in the second episode of season 2 airing on October 20 — and you can take a look at the full JSA roster above! The roster includes Commander Steel (Matthew MacCaull), a different version of Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers, “The Originals”), and Stargirl (Sarah Grey, “Wayward Pines”), and they certainly look the part. They’ve taken some elements from the comics, but given many of them their own flavor.

As for how long each one of them will be around, it ultimately varies depending on the character. For example, we have to think we’ll be seeing a lot of Vixen given that Richardson-Sellers has been booked as a series regular, while Adams of course as the aforementioned other commitments.

Ultimately, the big takeaway we have from this is that if you love the show emphasizing the strength of groups rather than individuals, you’re probably going to enjoy the heck out of this.
