‘Ride with Norman Reedus’ renewed for season 2 by AMC

Ride -Get ready to ride again: “Ride with Norman Reedus” will be back for more!

On Friday, AMC officially confirmed that they are bringing back the unscripted motorcycle series for another batch of six one-hour episodes. This show delivered solid ratings over the summer, and also allowed its star to explore a culture that has existed within the underground for many years other than maybe with shows like “Sons of Anarchy.” What we also appreciate is that this is a show that doesn’t shy away from the fact that its star is a well-known celebrity, so they don’t insulate him with people who are clueless about it. It ultimately feels more real as a result of that, and you get a small taste of Reedus’ personality in every episode.

In a statement, the “Walking Dead” star had the following to say about the pickup:

“I am glad to be able to show audiences a different side of me and we have gotten a great response to the candid conversation and the fact that it’s obviously not scripted … I feel like we are just getting started and there are so many amazing places we have yet to go – the opportunities for the show are endless.”

For those who are still wondering, it is our belief that this show’s continuance will have little to no impact on the zombie drama. It is filmed during the off-season, so Reedus can go out, do his thing, and still have a little bit of a break before he comes back for more “Walking Dead.” Sure, it’s possible that the show could kill him off, but we’re going to do our best to be optimistic there.
