Crime Dynamic Duos: ‘Chicago PD’ (Lindsay / Halstead) vs. ‘Longmire’ (Walt / Vic)

Round 3 -Today, we return with the final edition of our Crime Dynamic Duos semifinals, and this one is set to be particularly interesting since we’ve got two popular shows and pairs, and the timing of it could end up aiding both of them “Chicago PD” just started earlier this week on NBC, while “Longmire” will officially start streaming season 5 on Netflix overnight. Both of these shows have devoted followings, and we certainly expect that this is going to be a really good showdown. If nothing else, it’s a battle of underdogs! Based on where we started this tournament in terms of seeding, we did not expect either show to make it to this point.

Voting will remain open for the semifinals until we get around to Monday at noon; from there, we’ll kick off the finals, where voting will take part over the course of the week!

Lindsay / Halstead, “Chicago PD” (4) – They’ve overcome many rivals in this tournament so far, which makes some sense when you think on a meta level about everything that the two characters have overcome themselves since the beginning of the series. They’re fighters for justice, but at the same time they are also flawed human beings who have worked tirelessly to ensure that they are in a place to help others. They may be fictional, but their strength comes in their relatability.

Walt / Vic, “Longmire” (6) – These underdogs have beaten higher seeds every round of the tournament so far, and this is one more opportunity to do just that as we start to get closer to the season 5 premiere. These are two characters who get the job done, but also have a really fun chemistry that stems in part from the fact that they each come from a very different background and bring such different skills to the table. They may not be in a romantic relationship at present, but ‘shippers continue to hold out hope.

Now, we’re going to turn this voting over to you!
