‘The Last Ship’ season 3, episode 12 reaction: Show bosses explain latest twists

Last Ship -

If there is a good way to discuss the end of “The Last Ship” this season based on where we are now, it seems to fall under “power struggle.” We’re seeing Tom Chandler do what he can to take back part of America from Shaw and the regional leaders, but the problem here is that Rome — or in this case the country — can’t be built in a day. This is a long struggle, and something that will take a substantial amount of time in order to figure out precisely.

Luckily, we’ve got some further insight for you courtesy of the video over at this link, where the show’s executive producers do a very good job of breaking down precisely where we have gone so far in terms of the overall journey, and also where we could go from here on out.

At the moment, it is fairly clear that Shaw is the biggest threat, and what makes that so interesting through the lens of the show is that this is not your typical show villain by any means. Shaw is not a physical force so much as a power-hungry intellectual threat. She’s got a way to wield influence that is very different from many of Chandler’s other opponents, and he has many different walls to break through in order to get a further sense as to how to take her down.

Given that there is one one more episode left this season, expect to see more of these walls break down! We know that we’re personally going to have a whole lot more coverage on what is coming over the course of the finale.
