‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 and some of the Jackson – April challenges ahead
It doesn’t take much convincing to make the argument that this past season of “Grey’s Anatomy” was among one of the more emotional ones to date for Jackson and April. While they didn’t lose another baby, they lost each other over time and that led to the two parties getting divorced. They have another child, but they are trying to co-parent while also living their own lives and figuring out how to get along.
Will there be some highly-dramatic moments along the way? We have to think so, mostly because this is the nature of the show we’re talking about here. With that said, it does appear that we are in store for some happier times. Specifically, this is something that executive producer Shonda Rhimes comments on with the following statement per Entertainment Weekly:
“[Their story will develop] in a much lighter way, what it means to be uncoupled, to be divorced, and to have a kid, and how you do that? They’re going to really try to do this in a healthy way, and is that healthy way going to feel so healthy when they still have feelings for each other?”
This is obviously one of those couples that you yearn will find a way to somehow make it work, but at the same time, you’re very much aware that there is no guarantee that such a thing will happen. This isn’t a show that guarantees a happy ending, but sometimes with a lot of work and the right circumstances, people will find a way to figure it out.
