‘The Walking Dead’ season 7: Melissa McBride on cliffhanger reaction

Carol -

The seventh season of “The Walking Dead” will be premiering on AMC later this fall, and it’s not lost on everyone that the big cliffhanger is polarizing. No one other than some select cast and crew members is aware of who killed Negan, and do you really think that they are going to start talking? Don’t count on it.

What you can get, however, is hyped topped with more hype with additional hype served on top of that. Some are still excited about learning the answer, while some others are just frustrated that everything went down the way that it did. The one thing that we do feel is that the majority of the people who watched season 6 will tune in for the premiere regardless. Beyond that, it really is everyone’s guess as to what is going to happen.

For her own turn at spreading some of the hype, just take a quick look at what Melissa McBride had to say recently in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“I’ve heard it all [in terms of the cliffhanger]. But, you know, it’s entertaining. It’s compelling and some people like cliffhangers, some people hate them, and that’s just part of the experience. But I hope those people that feel jilted will tune in because the premiere is just going to be… oh God, it’s going to rock the walls. The wait is worth it. Whether you’re angry with it or whether you liked the cliffhanger or whether you’re pissed off about it, the wait is worth it.”

We do think that the biggest thing to remember here is that it’s not like the cliffhanger is the only thing going down in this episode when there are a wide array of different crazy stunts that you can expect to see.
