‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Dunkin’ Save help Laura Bretan, Tape Face, Edgar?
Tonight, we’ve got the first results show for the “America’s Got Talent” semifinals, and here’s how it is going to work: Once again, you are going to see acts passed on to the next round (in this case, the finals), while some others will be at the mercy of the Dunkin’ Save. Given that Tuesday’s show was particularly competitive, we imagine that there will be some other surprises that America has in store for us. We don’t know whether or not to be excited or nervous about this.
As per usual with this show, we’re also going to have some further updates as the night progresses! Be sure to refresh this page for more…
Dunkin’ Save – The three acts in jeopardy are Edgar, Laura Bretan, and Tape Face. We’re not shocked by Edgar and Tape Face. We’re SHOCKED about Laura, given that America typically loves young opera singers enough to get them into the finale.
Ultimately, we do think that so long as either Laura or Tape Face gets the Save, they’ll both probably advance to the finale.
Advancing acts – To see Grace VanderWaal pushed through is no surprise. While we’ve seen many acts advance to the finale who are singers, at the same time we haven’t seen to many people with both the talent and songwriting ability she does. Then, we had … Sal Valentinetti? We’re happy for him, but this one shocks us since he performed first, and needed to Save to stick around last time.
The final act advancing before the Save / the judges come into play was Jon Dorenbos! Not surprise here, given that he had a great performance and has plenty of football fans to boot. That does mean that we’re losing some really-great acts tonight, including Deadly Games and Malevo. Both of them are easily capable of fronting their own show.
Dunkin’ Save – It’s Tape Face! We’re super-happy about this. Now, we assume Laura will be advancing via the judges.
Judges’ Save – As noted, this one felt clear. No disrespect to Edgar, but Laura was sensational last night and deserved to move on to the final round. This group is a little heavy on the singers, but at least you have Tape Face and Jon thrown in there.

I have to agree with Sara. I too wanted Laura and Edgar to go through to the final. I was hoping that Edgar would win it all.

Very disappointed that Malevo didn’t go thru. Love them and they’re a Vegas act. Opera singer is great but was never sure why she was there as not a Vegas act. Do not understand at all how Tape Face went thru. Anyone who pays to see him will demand their money back.

The American TV audience consists of a bunch of bumbling brainless idiots (except for those of us with at least half a brain and sensibility)! This guy is so NOT FUNNY AT ALL that I couldn’t muster up a laugh even if I were high on laughing gas. So hopefully we see the other two acts with humungous record deals because they were fantastic..

Tape face was interesting to watch the first few acts, interesting. But that’s about all. Maybe they should not have the vote, during pot prime time in America lol

America votes for way to many singers. In the finals we probably will have 5-6 singing acts

Don’t like the way winners r picked based on votes…some of the best acts slip through …..should be based on judges decision not votes…some people r going to get partiality votes…not really fair
