‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Stephen Amell teases new season
The fifth season of “Arrow” is coming this October, and based on what Stephen Amell is saying via the latest Heroes & Villains Fan Fest this weekend, there are a few different things to be excited about.
First and foremost, let’s discuss Flashpoint! While it will be most relegated to the world of “The Flash,” Amell did confirm that at various points it will rear its head over on the flagship show. Specifically, Amell referenced two different occasions near the start and end of the season where events from that show could rear its head once more. (Stephen also had a funny line where he mentioned that Grant Gustin crosses over with his show, rather than the other way around, because “Arrow” came first.)
Also, the Twitter post below from Geeky Goddess reveals that “Vigilante” is the title for the seventh episode of the season. Given what we know the series is doing right now in terms of introducing us to several new prospective vigilantes (it’s like we’re seeing many of them in some sort of training academy put on by Oliver Queen), this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
While it may or may not have any bearing this season, we also just wanted to throw some kudos to Colin Donnell for being there, given that he continues to be such a big supporter of the show despite Tommy dying at the end of season 1. We still miss him, given that the character brought a touch of normalcy to Oliver’s life, and while he may have Diggle and Felicity, they didn’t know him before he put on the mask.
