‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Fargo’ actress set for Magenta!

Can we all celebrate the influx of meta-humans coming on this season of “The Flash“? First, we heard the AWESOME news that Grey Damon will be stopping by as the Mirror Master, arguably our favorite villain of the entire comic series. Then, we found out the ALSO AWESOME news that Ashley Rickards of “Awkward” fame will be appearing as The Top.

Now, let’s go ahead and add in Magenta to the list. Per ComicBook.com, Joey King (“Fargo”) has been cast in the part of Frances “Frankie” Kane, a troubled teen with the power to control metal. She eventually (probably via Cisco) receives the nickname in which she’s known for. There are some obvious similarities between her and Magneto, but hey, this is the DC Comics version!

What we wonder at this point is if we’re gearing up for a whole new set of Rogues, or a group that’ll be doing the bidding of someone like Leonard Snart in whatever form he turns up here. After all, several of these characters who’ve been cast as of late do have connections to that group in the comics, and we’re hoping that we’re getting to see more of them beyond just a single episode. We know we’re going to be getting quite a bit of Doctor Alchemy, one of our Big Bads for the season and a guy who definitely has connections to the Rogues all his own.

For now, celebrate the casting and remember this: It’s still August. “The Flash” doesn’t premiere until we get around to October. That’s a LOT of time for some other announcements to be made.
