We are almost at the end of “Ink Master” season 8 and this competition isn’t getting any easier for the artists. This week we saw one artist crack under the pressure and quit the show, but that didn’t stop another artist from getting eliminated. If you want to know what happened on tonight’s episode and who went home, then be sure to check out our review here (we don’t want to spoil it here for people who haven’t seen it yet). So what’s coming up next week for the final 6?
We are going to see something this season that we haven’t seen before and that’s one on one interviews with Dave Navarro. Losing 2 people this week when they didn’t expect to means that “Ink Master” likely has to make up an episode somewhere and one of the ways it looks like they are going to fill this space is by giving viewers a chance to really get to know these artists. We love this idea – it’s completely brilliant. We get to see the artists interacting with each other very briefly in the loft in between tattoos but we don’t get a lot of confessionals like on other reality shows where we get to hear what they are thinking. Dave is a great host and we have seen how comfortable the artists are in talking with him, so he’s going to be the perfect person to conduct these interviews.
It also looks like we are going to get some off set footage of the artists lives! We saw Gian with his woman, and Kelly in a graveyard (we aren’t sure why she was walking through a graveyard, but we can tell you that we are going to be tuning in to find out!). We’ve never had background packages on the artists before like we’ve seen on reality shows like “The Voice”, or “Big Brother”, so this is going to be a treat. We spend so much time with these artists, rooting them on to the winners circle and this is a nice way to get to know more about the people we love to watch create beautiful works of art each week.
