The third season of “The Flash” is coming before too long, and based on the latest San Diego Comic-Con trailer, there is one thing in which we can clearly expect: A very different world because of Flashpoint. Many characters will be in very difficult situations as a result of the butterfly effect that came with Barry Allen choosing to not kill his parents.
This world starts out being very different simply due to the fact that both of Barry’s parents are still alive, and are enjoying having what seems to be a very normal life. However, here’s the thing: It’s only normal on the surface. As the Reverse-Flash notes to Barry, this is all in many ways an illusion, a creation designed to make him think that he could have a very different life. There will be some breaks within Flashpoint that eventually could help Barry to realize that this life is not authentic.
Also worth noting in this trailer are some important changes for a few characters. Cisco Ramon is now suddenly the wealthiest person in the world, while Caitlin Snow is at least seen sporting a different look. (She does appear to be happy.) Meanwhile, Wally West is now The Flash, and in here you see him sporting the look that was recently released in some promo art.
The missing link right now we presume is going to be Harrison Wells, who went back to Earth-2 at the end of the second season. Yet, we do know that Tom Cavanagh is still a regular on the show. Color us intrigued!
