’12 Monkeys’ season 3: Premiere date speculation for Syfy series

12 Monkeys -Tonight, the second season of “12 Monkeys” is coming to a close on Syfy, and with that of course are hopefully going to be some exciting reveals and a setup for the third season. One of the reasons we’re all the more hopeful for that is that we know this said third season is coming.

Earlier this year, the network officially renewed the Amanda Schull series for a third season, and that’s rather nice (especially given this network) that we are able to kick back and have the confidence more will be coming. The question here for the most part is when, since the first two seasons were not entirely consistent in terms of when they were airing on TV. The first season aired starting in January of 2015; meanwhile, season 2 really did not get going until April of this year. Therefore, we could see season 3 in either spot in theory, but we’re banking more on the spring.

One thing that is very different about the third season is the simple fact that it is going to be for a smaller overall episode order than anything before it. While seasons 1 and 2 ran for 13 episodes, this one is going to be just ten. Hopefully, that just means that the stories we’ll be condensed and really pack and punch. You never really want less of anything, unless of course the “less” somehow turns out to be even more when it comes to quality. (This is why we’re fine with “Game of Thrones” only doing ten episodes a season.)
