‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Robby Hayes faces further ex drama during JoJo Fletcher date (video)

Hometown dates are coming to “The Bachelorette” on Monday night, but for JoJo Fletcher, she may have something a little bit different on her mind when she is visiting Robby Hayes — and no, it’s not the extreme amount of hair product that he seems to be using.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Robby understand more about why JoJo and others have questioned his legitimacy for being on the show: He’s informed by his own family that since he left for filming, rumors have started that he broke up with his ex so that he could go on the show. He claims that it’s not true, but it doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t have a real venue to defend himself. You have to remember that during filming, contestants do not have any real access to social media. Therefore, it’s hard to know what is going on, let alone if there is any way to defend yourself from this sort of stuff.

Robby makes it clear that his biggest concern is that this drama could keep JoJo from wanting to pick him in the end, and it’s hard for us to make a judgment call here given that there is only one side of the story that is shown. The only thing that we do know is that there is an unusually high amount of exes this season who appear to be particularly perturbed by the men they were with going on the show. Either people have figured out that this is a way to get what they consider to be revenge, or some of them (though maybe not all of them) did some questionable stuff.

Ultimately, let’s just hope that for Robby’s sake, his time on the show isn’t defined only by this.
