‘Supergirl’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Cougar Town’ alum set at one of CatCo’s new faces
With the premiere of “Supergirl” season 2 slowly approaching, now is of course the time where we should be getting some of the first casting intel. Thankfully, it’s starting to come in, beginning with someone who will be a key player over at CatCo.
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Ian Gomez of “Cougar Town” fame has been cast to play the role of Snapper Carr across multiple episodes of the show’s second season. He is the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine, which of course reminds us already of O Magazine and makes us wonder whether or not Cat Grant puts herself on the cover of every issue. He is a strong, super-intelligent person, and he could help to push Kara as she furthers along her professional career.
Based on the end of season 1, it’s feasible that Kara could be spending a little less time directly with Cat, which could coincide in the event that Calista Flockhart does spend less time on-set this year now that production has moved to Vancouver over Los Angeles.
It’ll be interesting to see how Snapper fits in as an adviser to character and a key player in the cast. For the time being, what we do know is that Snapper Carr is a heck of a great name for someone on a comic-book TV show. We really cannot think of many things that are significantly more appropriate than this.
There are still some characters for season 2 we’re going to be introduced to soon, and they include Lex Luthor’s sister. Hopefully, that’ll come along in due time.
