‘Outlander’ season 2 finale: Check out another photo of Roger, Brianna

The “Outlander” finale is just a matter of two days from airing on Starz, and rest assured of one thing: Roger and Brianna are going to have at least a fairly meaty role in the story.

These two characters, played by Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton, are going to be huge components to the story moving forward, so it only makes sense that you start to get to know them now before the hiatus begins! The first photo that was released by the network many weeks ago featured the two in an interior location, so for this new image above, we’re glad to see them outdoors and forging some sort of connection. Book readers know a thing or two about where they come from and how they connect, but rest assured there should be some exciting discoveries for all.

As for how in the world we are seeing these two characters now, rest assured that it stems from part of the action shifting forward to the 1960s, many years after Claire originally came back through the stones as we saw her back during the premiere. The majority of the season has remained focused on life in France and then Scotland again, so think of this as both blowing up the world and the show’s own space-time continuum while you’re at it. It should make for a finale full of exciting moments, but also some that will be extremely emotional.
