‘America’s Got Talent’ video: The Passing Zone return!

AGT -Remember Jon and Owen a.k.a. The Passing Zone? They were excellent jugglers on the first season of “America’s Got Talent,” and they made it all the way to the finale on that season, being both funny and technically proficient every step of the way? Juggling’s such a tough thing to do on this sort of show, mostly because it’s so much easier to mask one of your mistakes if you’re a singer or a dancer. Here, you drop once and it’s over.

Luckily, the two guys are pretty perfect in the sneak peek below (via E! News) … which is probably all the more important since there is a plunger, which just so happens to be on fire, being juggled over Howie Mandel’s head. It’s incredibly entertaining, and the end stunt of the act is really great from the vantage point of giving it that added jeopardy. These two guys are obviously very seasoned, and that comes from doing this act all over the world for many years. They’re great! They’re probably our favorite juggling act ever on the show.

As for whether or not it’s a great idea for the show to be reviving former acts on the show, we don’t really mind it. There are a lot of people watching now who weren’t there in season 1; heck, none of the judges even were. This will feel completely new to some people. The one thing we do wish is that the show itself would mention it more, especially since this is not the first act from the first season to return. Previously, we saw dance group All That return to compete. (We definitely think it was brought up at some point during the audition — just left on the cutting room floor for the show.)
