Robert and Michelle King have quickly shown a knack for re-using actors across many of their shows. While the majority of the regulars on “The Good Wife” have yet to cross over to “BrainDead,” the same cannot be said for some of the people who recurred on the series, including Margo Martindale. Still relatively fresh off of playing Peter Florrick’s campaign manager on the CBS drama, the former “Justified” star and beloved long-running “BoJack Horseman” joke will be appearing here as an entomologist for the upcoming July 18 episode. As you probably know by now, this episode title is a mouthful: “Back to Work: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Congress and How It Gets Things Done (and Often Doesn’t).”
The synopsis for this particular hour is below:
“Laurel asks her brother, Luke, for his help to get the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to investigate the bugs, but he insists she first consult Dr. Joanne Alaimo (Margo Martindale), a leading entomologist, for her perspective on the invasion. Also, Laurel’s relationship with Anthony takes a drastic turn.”
This episode is hopefully going to be a big turning point for the show, if for no other reason than that we will be several weeks into the series’ run at this point. Also, given the low ratings this season we really hope that there is some sort of plan for closure this season. Otherwise, we could be in for a letdown as we question whether or not the entire journey was worth it.
