‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 spoilers: Two new faces coming aboard

“The Walking Dead” season 7 is currently in production, but finding out legitimate news about it right now is really a needle-in-a-haystack sort of situation. Given the nature of the cliffhanger involving Negan, it is understandable that AMC is being a little bit cagey in regards to the sort of information that they are interested in putting out there.

Luckily, we do have at least a little more information right now in regards to characters you will be meeting coming up on the seventh season; specifically, they will turn up during episode 6, but rest easy knowing that this information doesn’t give anything away about a cliffhanger.

Per TVLine, the following two characters are going to be introduced. Note that these names may be decoys; while we don’t know for sure of a one-for-one comic-book comparison with these characters, there still could very much be one.

Naomi – She’s a fierce, determined woman described as a “grandmotherly type,” someone who has unfortunately buried many people she cares about since the start of the zombie apocalypse.

Jennie – Meanwhile, she is described as a teenage character with a relatively upbeat personality, or at least as much as you can have given the set of circumstances out there. She is at least a realist in terms of her awareness of the world around her. She doesn’t see it with rose-colored glasses.

Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” will premiere this summer; stay tuned to get some further casting news! We have a feeling more will be coming.
