‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Stephen Amell teases big things for premiere
The fifth season of “Arrow” is going to start filming in a little other a few weeks, and there are going to be quite a few different things worth looking forward to.
Let’s start with what may be one of the biggest fight scenes that the show has ever done. Stunt coordinator James Bamford is directing both the premiere and the second episode of the season, and Stephen Amell told fans in a Facebook Live video that there may be the most continuous shot during a fight scene that the show has ever done. If Amell is going to be in it rather than his stunt double, then he is going to have to bulk up … and prepare to do it shirtless.
Amell also mentioned that there is a character turning up who we have not seen on the show in “two full seasons.” Who could that be? We imagine that there are a few possibilities bouncing around out there. While we wish that it would be Slade Wilson, the reality there is that he technically did appear in one season 3 episode midway through. It’s also possible that they could be tied in to the flashback story, so there is no guarantee that it is a character among the living.
We know that “Arrow” is premiering on Wednesday, October 5, and fresh off the news that Chad Coleman is going to be appearing in a major role, we have a really good feeling that we are going to have a really fantastic batch of episodes coming up.
