‘UnREAL’ season 2, episode 2 video: An extended look at what is to come

There is something really funny about both “The Bachelorette” and “UnREAL” airing at the same exact time, and we think that it may have something to do with just how the two seem almost unconsciously engaged in trying to one-up each other. On “UnREAL” Monday night, you had Rachel, in her new shorunner position, berating Madison to ensure that they got a devastating backstory. Meanwhile, “The Bachelorette” gave us Chad, arguably one of the biggest tools in the history of the show.

Interestingly, one episode in we’d say that “The Bachelorette” has went over-the-top of “UnREAL” in terms of being crazy, but it’s just one week. There’s plenty of time for the Lifetime series to rise to the occasion. The promo for the next new episode in many ways doubles as an extended trailer for everything that is coming up, and with that, we know that we’re going to have a chance to see a variety of different things including some betrayals (Rachel vs. Quinn will be on again), Chet trying to create his own version of the show, and a little bit romance.

In the end, though, we’re going to see conflicting ideologies as to what this show is about. Darius strangely decided that this was the best venue in order for him to rehab his image, and that’s going to come back to haunt him in a very big way given that this show, more than likely, is thinking more along the lines of sabotage.
