‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Girder returns in ‘The Runaway Dinosaur’

What is “The Flash” without its title hero? That’s an interesting question, and something that we are certainly curious to find out in part on the upcoming May 10 episode entitled “The Runaway Dinosaur.” This is the episode being directed by none other than Kevin Smith, and it already looks like an interesting one based on the attached synopsis:

“With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life.”

Ultimately, this episode seems like an interesting one for a pair of different reasons. For one, we’ve got the return of a brutish villain who we do find entertaining, even if he’s not the most conniving in the world. To go along with that, we also have an interesting premise in general of seeing some other characters battle a meta-human who are not entirely used to doing so on their own. Sure, Cisco has powers at the moment, but they are mostly supplemental at present. He has not made it to the point just yet where these can be used to destroy an opponent completely. Maybe this will be where he starts to use them?

Given that there are only two episodes after this one, we have to assume that there are some huge events ahead. Therefore, stay tuned for more of the latest as soon as we have it for you here!
