‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ episode 10 rankings: Do Scot, Jason, and Tai have more power?

Scot -

We feel like at this point, the decision to vote out Debbie on “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” has been talked about from almost every angle out there, and there really has not been a consensus as to whether or not this was the right move for Aubry to help organize. Personally, our argument remains no, since we would’ve put Cydney’s life on the line for a little bit of Russian roulette. Put all of your votes on Scot, and if you don’t trust Julia completely, tell her somebody else. From there, either the super-idol will get flushed as Cydney goes home most likely, or you at least get rid of one of the players holding the power.

Of course, we’re playing armchair quarterback. This was a critical move in the game, and it was an extremely complicated one. Luckily, there will most likely still be opportunities for the Jason – Scot – Tai trio to be split up, and it depends on how people in the game choose to go at them. We have to consider immunity idols heavily in the latest edition of our contestant rankings, though at the same time strategy, edit, challenge ability, and threat level are as important as they’ve ever been.

8. Joe Del Campo (last week: 5) – At this point in the game, almost anything could happen and it’s hard to identify a favorite to go home. We don’t actually think Joe will be voted out next, but thanks to his edit, he probably has the smallest chance to win of almost anyone left. That has to be considered at this point.

7. Scot Pollard (9) – We’d put Scot second in that camp. While he has made some great moves this season such as securing Tai as a number, who’s going to vote for a guy with his success outside of the game, coupled with the way that he dumped water over the fire? Nobody wants to vote for a saboteur to win.

6. Julia Sokolowski (4) – If for some reason Aubry thinks that Julia’s still playing both sides and doesn’t want to risk her or Cydney getting idol’ed out of the game, we could see her being a target again. We don’t know 100% if she would’ve gone home if she hadn’t won immunity, but it seems that way at present.

5. Kyle Jason (8) – It’s still hard to figure out precisely how Kyle goes to the end and wins unless he makes it there with Scot and it’s a final two, which seems likely be the number of days left. He’s had some human moments in the edit, but at other times the show has painted him almost like a WWE villain.

4. Aubry Bracco (2) – While Cydney may have been the target of some of the votes this past week, we do think that Aubry is the person who is perceived as running the ship strategically. Therefore, she could be the target of the three guys if there is some sort of idol play coming up.

3. Tai Trang (6) – Tai is such a difficult character to nail down. We don’t think he is being portrayed here as a winner so much as a lovable character who is torn between going far and being a nice guy. We do think he has a few more weeks to his game and can win in the end, but he’d probably need to be there with someone like Jason or Scot, who people just don’t like.

2. Cydney Gillon (3) – Despite coming close to being voted out, we don’t think the danger facing Cydney now is immediate. Aubry should be more of a threat, and if the women aren’t targeting the guys, they’ll probably go after Julia.

1. Michele Fitzgerald (1) – Go ahead and tell us who is coming after Michele at this point in the game. Is anyone? While she’d be a little bit of an under-the-radar winner, it feels like she’s done a decent job maintaining relationships on all sides. We haven’t seen her in conflict with anyone, and she is likable enough to beat a wide array of people at the end.
