‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: More on Barry Allen’s Tachyon training

Flash -

Throughout the majority of this season of “The Flash,” we have seen the Barry Allen character doing his best to get faster with one primary goal in mind: Trying to ensure that he has the speed necessary to defeat Zoom. He knows what this particular villain is capable of, and at the same time what needs to be done to stop him. Finding the means to do that, however, is a move that is much more easier said than done.

This is where the Tachyon Device comes into play. You’ve seen it briefly on the character on this show, just as it has also been somewhat of a component of the “Supergirl” crossover. (The timelines between the two shows is a little bit weird, so don’t think too much about that.)

In a new post over on the show’s official Tumblr page, what you can see that is particularly exciting here is a little bit of further training when it comes to precisely how Barry and the team at STAR Labs are training for him to be able to properly use this device. It’s a little bit of a process, but they want to ensure that he is going to be capable of seizing this power and actually using it against Zoom.

What should make for a rather interesting parallel in this episode is that while we’re seeing Barry undergo this training, we’re also going to learn what made Zoom into the monstrous speed demon that he has ultimately become. The dichotomy here should be something that is very interesting to behold.
