‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Be prepared for Barry Allen – Zoom feud to escalate

Now that we know that Jay Garrick / Hunter Zolomon is actually Zoom on “The Flash,” you better prepare for things to accelerate in a way that they have not to date on the show. While the Breach may be closed between the two worlds at the moment, do you seriously think that this will stay in such a way forever?

At some point soon, we are going to see Zoom and Barry Allen collide once more, and there’s going to be some chaos that comes as a result of that. This is something that executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases to Entertainment Weekly as he sets up what could be the central conflict that lasts over the course of the remainder of the season:

“Things are about to get a lot more personal between the two of them … Barry is still reeling from the sting of betrayal of Jay, but Jay has a very specific agenda. He’s proven to be a master manipulator. He did so covertly, and now he’s doing it out in the open. Barry’s going to have to make some difficult choices if he’s going to want to take Jay down.”

What’s interesting here is that Zoom now knows most of Barry’s strengths and weaknesses. He saw him train, and to go along with that, he also saw him work alongside the team at STAR Labs. He knows where to hit him, and also where to be a little more conservative. We’re still waiting to know if there is a further motive for this character beyond just being the fastest person in the multiverse, and that is something that could become a little bit clearer on “Versus Zoom” Tuesday night.
