‘Supergirl’ spoilers: Could Kara Danvers exist as Power Girl on another Earth?

Kara -

As much as we do enjoy “Supergirl” as a series, we’ve never been shy of admitting that Power Girl is really our favorite incarnation of the character. Unfortunately, she’s also a character who is not often as recognizable or as well-known aside from comic-book fans.

Given that we do now know about the multiverse within the “Supergirl” world, though, it’s certainly a question worth pondering: Is Power Girl somewhere out there? It’s certainly possible. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly on the subject of if Kara Danvers could exit on Earth-1, the same world as “The Flash” mostly exists in, Andrew Kreisberg had the following to say:

“Any Kara that exists on Earth 1 would also have to have been an alien … It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie.”

When it comes specifically to the idea of a Supergirl / Power Girl on Earth-1, Kreisberg stated that it certainly possible, albeit with a “different costume.”

The reality to us is that a Supergirl sort of character existing at present on Earth-1 is incredibly unlikely, given that neither she nor Superman have ever been mentioned. Maybe you could argue that something happened to Clark Kent on Earth-1 and Kara has yet to feel the need to showcase her powers to the world here, but that’s a very specific situation. Our feeling is more that Power Girl could exist on yet another world that is out there, and maybe she will find her way to National City / Central City / somewhere else at some point further on down the road. It doesn’t feel like something that the producers feel a temptation to address in the near future.
