Is ‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 17 new tonight on The CW? A new way to ‘Flash Back’ (video)

For those of you who saw the depressing news on “The Flash” week, you’re probably aware that there is no new episode on The CW tonight. For those who missed it … well, that’s more or less your answer to the question in the title. Not only is there no installment this week, but the same goes for April 12. You have to wait until April 19 to see what happens next in “Versus Zoom,” which will be your first opportunity to really understand precisely who Hunter Zolomon is and where he came from.

While you wait for that episode to arrive, though, at least The CW has come up with some interesting new ways to help you keep track of what has happened to date. The video below is the latest in their recent “Flash Back” series, where you can see quick highlights of previous episodes complete with social-media reactions. This video is a “Flash Back” to the episode entitled “Flash Back,” which is all about Barry living out flashbacks to when Hartley was running rampant as Pied Piper and Earth-1 Harrison Wells was still alive. This is clearly enough to make anyone’s head spin.

One thing we are interested in is how the show chooses to use these changes to implement Hartley into the show moving forward, and if this changes a whole lot else. Much like the characters on the show have to be careful, so do the writers since the last thing that you want to run the risk of here is doing something that really interrupts the flow of things for the viewer or makes things tricky to understand.
