‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ results: Was Mischa Barton, Jodie Sweetin, or Doug Flutie eliminated?

Mischa -

Going into the “Dancing with the Stars” performance show airing on ABC Monday night, there was really one thing we were rather worried about: A potential elimination for Mischa Barton. She didn’t come across as well as we probably wanted in the first two episodes, and she also had the lowest scores going into tonight’s outing.

In the end, though, we had to wait and see what the results were to see if there was any sort of dramatic surprise awaiting us at the end of the night. The three couples who were announced “in jeopardy” at the end of the show were Doug Flutie & Karina Smirnoff, Mischa & Artem Chigvintsev, and then Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe. Note that “in jeopardy” does not necessarily mean “in the bottom two,” so don’t read too much into Jodie being thrown in here.

The reality in the end here was that this was Mischa’s time to go, as sad as we are to say it. She just didn’t have the scores to justify her staying, and at least this way she can say that she left with the strongest routine she has performed on the show. She probably hoped for more going into the show, but at the end of the day it really is what it is.

In the end, hopefully she did still get some perspective on herself from being in this competition, and who knows? Maybe this will translate into her giving an improved performance later this season for the finale in May.
