‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 16 video: The latest drama for Maggie, Andrew

If there’s one thing that everyone should know at the moment regarding “Grey’s Anatomy” and character relationships, it is this: Breakups are common … very common. As a matter of fact, we almost expect them at this point more so than we expect people to end up being together.

In the sneak peek below, we get the latest example of relationship tension between Maggie and Andrew, as some recent actions are causing her to question whether or not he really wants to be with her. We understand some of the reasoning behind the questions, and also to go along with it the sort of fear and frustration that can come about as a result of a lack of communication. That is a part of their problem right now, but there are also two other ones.

1. The stress of the job – This is the same thing that dooms a wide array of other employees working at the hospital, and it’s understandable why. When you are firmly situated in this environment, isn’t it more than a little bit hard to think straight?

2. Their relationship is (fairly) new – At least by show standards. We don’t think that they have really figured it out just yet how to properly speak and channel their feelings, but the good news here is that it really doesn’t seem as though either character is going away anytime soon. They’ll have a reasonably good chance to sort a lot of this out.
