‘Supergirl’ episode 18 video: Barry Allen meets Cat Grant

Going into the “Supergirl” – “The Flash” crossover episode entitled “Worlds Finest” and airing on Monday, we would not have told you that we desperately needed some sort of scene involving both Barry Allen and Cat Grant; yet, now that we have it, the idea of not having it seems to be incredibly depressing.

In the sneak peek below from this episode, you can see Grant Gustin’s character meeting Cat for the first time, and everyone tries to cover for him being at CatCo by saying that he is their cousin. Meanwhile, Cat proclaims upon seeing the four of them that they “look like the attractive, yet non-threatening racially diverse cast of a CW show.” Pretty great burn, if you ask us, and probably one of many references that we’re going to see to “The Flash” as a show over the course of the episode.

Another funny moment here is Cat taking it upon herself to name the Scarlet Speedster who has be running around in National City … and she goes with The Blur. When Barry suggests The Flash, her main report to that is that the name sounds a little bit too creepy for her taste.

During this episode, Kara is going to help Barry Allen find his way home after running through this dimension; meanwhile, he will help her in order to ensure that Silver Banshee and Livewire are stopped before they do any further damage to the world.
