‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 15 preview: Paul Reubens guest stars in ‘Mad Grey Dawn’

Oswald -Where is the story going on “Gotham” next week? Let’s just say that you may finally be getting one of the most-anticipated stories of the season. It was last year when we first heard the news that we were going to be meeting none other than Oswald Cobblepot’s father on the show, and he would be played by none other than Paul Reubens. We’re now pleased to actually have a few more bits and pieces as to how he will be turning up and what it means.

The synopsis below for “Mad Grey Dawn” turns up to be a nice foundation, as it sets up not only Reuben’s role, but also a story that looks like it will be a little more balanced than what we saw this time around:

“Gordon and Bullock investigate a trail of clues left in a museum robbery, which, unbeknownst to them, were left by Nygma in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. Meanwhile, Gordon’s past comes back to haunt him when an anonymous person threatens to expose his hand in Galavan’s murder. Also, Penguin’s visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dalh (guest star Paul Reubens), and Bruce practices his street smarts.”

Tonight’s storyline was very much Bruce-centered, so it will be nice to get at least a little more information regarding some of the other plots. For Oswald, for example, we need to start to see more of the character’s rise back to villainy. He fell hard this past fall when it comes to being at the top of the criminal world, and he has to figure out how to get back.
