‘The Bachelor’ finale spoilers: Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell, JoJo Fletcher, and what to expect

The finale for “The Bachelor” is going to be coming your way on ABC in just over 24 hours, and for those of you who are relatively new to the franchise, we thought that we’d offer up something more for you in terms of what to expect. These episodes tend to be so formulaic that they go from one beat to the next.

1. Meet the parents – Ben Higgins’ mom and dad will be showing up once more, though really they’ve been a part of the story this season more than many other Bachelor parents are. Think of this as a symptom for the series visiting Warsaw, Indiana already.

2. Individual dates – Both JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell will get some chances to spend time with Ben, but not in an overnight capacity like we previously saw. This is oddly where there is at times tension, given that each person is incredibly aware of the stakes, and that there’s someone else they are competing with.

3. Hey, it’s Neil Lane! – The jewelry designer shows up, and Ben will pick out a ring while debating heavily if he is making the right choice. There will be long, drawn-out montages of everyone getting set for this final Rose Ceremony to happen.

4. The final Rose Ceremony – This will happen near the end of the night, and it’s an odd combination. You’ll get at one point (more than likely) a sweet, romantic proposal, and then a very sad and/or depressing breakup. It’s a lot to take it.

5. After the Final Rose – Let’s regurgitate all of this again!
