‘Saturday Night Live’ host Ariana Grande wants show to not hold back

SNL -Just in case you were wondering Ariana Grande would be one of those pop-star hosts on “Saturday Night Live” who goes on the show and wants to demand that everything happens by her own agenda, have no fear: She’s more than game to have a little bit of fun at her own expense.

Speaking in a new interview with Ryan Seacrest, the singer made it clear that in her discussions with producers, she wanted to look silly and do some ridiculous things:

“Going into this, I wanted to make sure that they didn’t hold back … I really want them to make an a** out of me. Please. I will be an idiot! … I want to be a full out idiot. I’ll do anything. Like, let’s be funny. Let’s get ugly, dirty. Let’s do it!”

This has us a little more excited about the show, and we do think that some out there who are feeling a little bit cynical over Grande’s hosting gig are forgetting one important thing: She does have a history performing in front of a live audience and being funny. For more proof of that, just go back and watch what she did on some of her Nickelodeon shows, or even go and watch her cameo when Chris Pratt was hosting the show. In their own way, we like to think that both of them are worthy examples in some shape or form.

We’ll be back later with a full review of the episode; stay tuned!
