‘Law & Order: SVU’ stars Mariska Hargitay, Chris Meloni reunite in photo

While there is still no guarantee at the moment that Chris Meloni will ever come back to “Law & Order: SVU,” isn’t it nice just to see that he and Mariska Hargitay are still friends? We certainly like to think so, and the photo below does a pretty amazing job at warming our heart.

This photo was first shared by Meloni on his Twitter account, and it shows the two parties clearly having a good time together catching up in the city. It’s already been well-known that the two have kept a good friendship ever since he left the show years ago, but this has not led to him coming back in any form. He also has a new show airing on WGN America, so when you really stop to think about it, we’re not sure how much time he would even have to stop by if he wanted to.

Recently, Meloni himself admitted that some of the talk of him returning was just a rumor, and it really stemmed from comments the show’s executive producer made about wanting to see him back at some point before the eventual series finale. We still think that we are a little ways off from that happening, so everyone involved has gone some time. The show has already been renewed for an eighteen season, and if you missed the recent news on that, there will be some sort of showrunner swap coming.
