‘The Bachelor’ finale video: Does Ben Higgins’ mom prefer JoJo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell?

Given that Ben Higgins didn’t have a hometown date on “The Bachelorette” when he was first on that, we admittedly don’t know his family nearly as well as some of the others we’ve seen on the show over the years. What we know is at least, for the most part, fairly by-the-numbers. It seems like his parents really care about him, and want him to do well and be with the right person. Also, they’ve got a pretty enormous house! We saw that earlier this season.

In the sneak peek below, you can specifically see Ben’s mom talk a little bit about what it’s like for her to see Ben go through some of this process in the finale, and also a little bit about how she feels like JoJo Fletcher is the right woman for him. She’s not out to slam Lauren Bushnell, and frames it instead as more of a situation where she feels like JoJo is simply the person who is showing the most tender love and care for him at the moment.

As for if Ben will follow this advance, it’s tough to say because there are a few different forces likely playing into this decision in his mind. While we definitely think he’s got a lot of love in his heart for JoJo, at the same time he may be concerned still about the hometown date. These are potential in-laws, and in the end of the two are almost equal candidates to him in his mind, he may go with the person who he feels is the safer choice.
