‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: First details on Oswald’s father

Gotham -Gotham” has long hyped up an appearance from Paul Reubens as Oswald Cobblepot’s father, and you have to think that there will be some sort of great stuff that comes along with that. He’s spent so much time with his mother over the course of his life, and as a result you don’t hear a whole lot about his dad.

Well, that is going to change on the upcoming March 21 episode entitled “Mad Grey Dawn.” You’ll start to understand who this character is, and what he means to the Penguin now. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:

“Gordon and Bullock investigate a trail of clues left in a museum robbery, which, unbeknownst to them, were left by Nygma in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. Meanwhile, Gordon’s past comes back to haunt him when an anonymous person threatens to expose his hand in Galavan’s murder. Also, Penguin’s visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dalh (guest star Paul Reubens), and Bruce practices his street smarts.”

One thing that is a little bit of a mystery to us at the moment is simply this: Who is going to be the person who steps up as the chief villain? It’s a good question, if for no other reason than that we really saw the end of Victor Fries for the time being, though that could change once Hugo Strange is done powering him up. We don’t see either of these two guys mentioned in this synopsis.
