Is ‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 16 new tonight? What to do while waiting

FlashIt may not be the easiest or the happiest thing to hear, but it does not make it any less true: There is no new episode of “The Flash” airing on The CW Tuesday night.

So why in the world is this happening? Much as we explained last week, there are a few necessarily evils that come with having a season that lasts from October until May. You’re going to have some hiatuses, and at least with this show the network is nice enough to air the episodes in bunches. That way when some new installments do air, they all air in a row. There are shows on CBS in particular such as “Supergirl” that are in an on-and-off pattern almost every week.

Just in case you are looking for some things to do while you wait around for the show to return, here are some suggestions:

1. Watch some old episodes on the CW app. Typically the latest ones are free without a cable login.

2. Go visit CW Seed, where you can watch a lot of great content. “Vixen” has been established multiple times over as canon to both “Arrow” and “The Flash,” and we suppose now in some ways that it has been established that the original “Flash” (which can be watched there) is also within the world somehow.

3. Read some old comic books. Embrace the source material!

4. Get ready for some craziness over the next few weeks. The producers are really setting up a showdown with Zoom like no other.
