‘The Leftovers’ season 3: Liv Tyler will return

The third season of “The Leftovers” is going to be coming up on HBO at some point, but the reality here is that we don’t know when. This is one of those out there that is ready to air whenever it is done, and we’re more than fine with that. Why in the world would you want Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta to rush things along?

One thing that we are excited to see is confirmation that one of the show’s most unusual (and shocking) characters is going to be returning. Speaking to Digital Spy in a new interview, Liv Tyler confirmed that we are going to be seeing Meg in some shape or form moving forward on the series. This of course makes us wonder just what in the world she could be up to now after the destruction of Jarden National Park at the end of season 2.

Did we assume that we were going to see her back on the show in some way moving forward? Absolutely, but it is nice to see confirmation on this. After all, there were a number of major changes in between season 1 and season 2, and it would be fair to say that there will probably be more between season 2 and 3.

In the end, though, we have to expect that there not be a whole lot of information out there about the season for quite a long time. Why in the world would there be? This is not a series that has started to film yet, and we don’t even know where they are in the writing.
