‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 17 preview: Is Halstead going too far?

“Chicago PD” is a show that has a tendency time and time again to put its characters in danger, and also challenge them in ways that we have not seen in the past. Sometimes, they are out for revenge, and at some point points we’ve seen them tackle some personal demons.

Moving into the next new episode entitled “Forty-Caliber Bread Crumb,” we’re going to see a situation for Jay Halstead where he struggles time and time again to handle what is going on in the wake of a shootout. He is going to what justice, but what is he willing to do for it? This is where this episode could start to become twisted.

“While out on a bank run for his off-duty security job at the dispensary, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and his co-workers find themselves under attack by a violent robbery crew which quickly becomes a full-scale shootout. Voight (Jason Beghe) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) question the owner of the dispensary who mentions her business has received threats from local gangs upset she’s cutting into their revenue. Meanwhile Roman (Brian Geraghty), Burgess (Marina Squerciati), Antonio (Jon Seda), Halstead, Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) and Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) follow-up on a lead and track down a potential suspect.”

We imagine that this is going to be a big episode for the show, mostly because of its placement. There may not be another installment after it for a while, so you have to expect some big things to take place.
