‘The X-Files’ season 10 finale spoilers: Watch new Gillian Anderson – Joel McHale scene (video)

We want to believe that the new “X-Files” will continue beyond the season finale on Monday, but unfortunately at the moment, we just don’t know. It’s with that in mind we present the new sneak peek, which should at least get you amped-up about the return of the “My Struggle” storyline.

In this preview, Joel McHale returns as Tad O’Malley, the newscaster who has started to spout off conspiracies about alien DNA and other phenomena. Mulder and Scully of course find this worrisome, though there is also a part of the former that is excited. After all, isn’t it a part of his own DNA to feel this way? He’s spent the entirety of the series looking for answers, and O’Malley may be able to provide something.

O’Malley tells Gillian Anderson’s character here that he had arranged a private meeting with Mulder, only to arrive at his place to find him not there, and documents scattered all over the floor. He then emphasizes once more the gravity of some of his discoveries, which is something that Scully at least acknowledges in terms of that he believes them to be big discoveries. He claims that his own DNA contains important anomalies, only for Scully to say that these are things that are found in the majority of DNA that is out there.

Suffice it to say, this episode should contain plenty of drama, intrigue, and everything else that you love about the show.
