‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: Is Brandon’s musical in jeopardy?

Fosters -The third season of “The Fosters” has so far meant many different things to its different characters, but for Brandon, it has represented an attempt for him to try to find the right distraction from everything that has happened over time with Callie. This is what the Romeo & Juliet musical taking shape was all about. Granted, we never exactly thought that this was the best use of his time given that the play is all about forbidden love.

So could it turn out that someone wants to put a stop to this musical before it actually happens? Well, the synopsis below does a pretty good job of giving us some further insight as to what you can expect:

“Brandon’s senior thesis is in jeopardy when a student raises concerns about the play glorifying suicide, leaving the school honor board to vote on whether or not his Romeo and Juliet musical can be performed at Anchor Beach. Rita’s (guest star Rosie O’Donnell) daughter Chloe reaches out to Callie after Rita refuses to take her calls. Meanwhile, Stef teaches a class on handling emotion as part of a Youth Outreach Program.”

Let’s just hope that by the end of this particular hour, Brandon finds a way to make things work with the musical. We just hope that someone treats it as art, which is precisely the point. Suicide is a terrible thing, but with the right context and discussion before and after the fact, conversations can be steered in a way that reminds everyone of just how terrible these sort of actions can be.
