‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: The search to find Zoom’s lair

Based on what we’re hearing now about the upcoming episode of “The Flash” on February 16, trying to uncover the whereabouts of Zoom is going to be a little bit more challenging than everyone first thought. It’s a smart strategy to try to take the battle to the villain, but it’s still relatively unclear as to whether or not this will work.

What we can tell you about “Escape from Earth-2” is that it may very well be the second part of a two-parter that is all about some characters in this world; while we see the likes of Barry and Cisco trying to save the day over there, we could see back on Earth-1 Caitlin Snow trying to help Jay Garrick get his speed back in just enough time to save Central City from a new threat. The synopsis below offers up a little more information:

“On Earth-2, the team races to find Zoom’s lair and asks for help from the most unexpected source. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) can stop the Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford).”

It obviously feels a little bit different writing about the hunt for Zoom now given what we know now; Hunter Zoloman may actually be the Earth-1 version of Jay Garrick, and in the comics Hunter is the secret identity of the famed villain. It’s certainly possible that the team traveled all the way over to Earth-2 to battle someone who was right under their nose the whole time.
