‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 12 preview: What lies ahead for Maia Mitchell, cast?

Callie -The winter premiere for “The Fosters” season 3 is coming to a close, and what this means more than anything else is simple: We’ve now got a foundation for everything that is going to be coming up. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like many characters are facing the best of times. Stef has a diagnosis that could need treatment immediately, Callie and Brandon have an obvious sort of awkwardness between them, and Jude now has to get used to the idea of Connor being gone for good.

So where can we see the story go from here? The synopsis for next week’s episode does not give away everything, but it does at least make it clear that the drama from Callie and Brandon is only just beginning as some details from their past together could start to become more and more public knowledge:

“Brandon is upset when he learns that his shared secret with Callie is in jeopardy. Lena and Stef’s mother, Sharon (guest star Annie Potts, “Ghostbusters”), disagrees over how Stef should handle her diagnosis. Meanwhile, Mariana’s run for junior class president heats up as the simmering resentment between her and Lexi comes to a head.”

The thing to remember here is primarily that the show is probably not going to be in too big of a hurry to push any of these stories along in a huge way. After all, we are still just one tenth into the winter half of the season, and many more surprises / twists / dramatic moments could be coming.
