‘Better Call Saul’ season 2 video: Jimmy McGill arrives at a crossroads

Tough decisions. This is a theme that we’ve seen time and time again on AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” and it’s a dilemma that Jimmy McGill is going to be facing once more throughout the upcoming second season.

In the new promo below courtesy of AMC, you get yet another opportunity to see precisely how executive producers Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are approaching this story. We have Jimmy approaching a crossroads; on one side there is darkness, and on the other there is light. Rather than being forced to make a decision one way or another, he decides simply to drive right through it. That’s not exactly what most would consider, but Jimmy does not qualify for “most” any day of the week.

This decision is a nice microcosm for the sort of person that he is at the moment. He’s not interested in being purely malicious, but he’s also not interested in doing the right thing. Instead, he wants to do what he personally believes will him get him on the road to finding the success and respect that he so craves. He may have realized at this point that he is not going to get it from his brother Chuck, and as a result of that he may have to figure out how to get that respect himself.

The second season of “Better Call Saul” will premiere on AMC come Monday, February 15; we certainly imagine that there will be further news soon, so be on the lookout!
