Sure, there may not be a new episode of “Supernatural” tonight on The CW, and the thought of that is rather sad. However, will some new photos from the January 21 winter premiere help to ease your pain? We like these images, mostly because they show us that Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are going to waste almost no time at all helping out Sam (Jared Padalecki) following what happened between him and Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino).
As you may remember from the midseason finale, Sam thought that he was getting messages from God, which eventually led to him visiting Lucifer in an effort to get some answers. However, what he discovered instead that it was all a trick, and he found himself stuck in the infamous cage.
Is there going to be a way out of this? We’d assume so, given that future synopses for the show do feature Sam and Dean out doing some of their signature monster-of-the-week adventures. However, at the same exact time you have to wonder how they get out more so than if they do. There are consequences that come with almost every action, and we’d say that this is true on this show more so than almost any other.
One other thing you have to remember here is what Amara’s role is going to be in everything moving forward. All seems quiet at the moment, but how long do you think it’s going to be before that changes? This is ultimately the story of the season, or at least it has been set up to be so far.
