‘Better Call Saul’ season 2 spoilers: Early ‘Breaking Bad’ character to be featured

Better Call Saul season 2For those of you who thoroughly enjoy “Breaking Bad,” we imagine that you had to be smiling when you saw an appearance from Tuco at the end of the series premiere of “Better Call Saul.” This was a lovely way for the AMC series to celebrate the original show’s legacy without desperately throwing Walter White or Jesse Pinkman on the screen.

Now, it seems as though co-creator Vince Gilligan is excited about something similar going into season 2. Speaking per TVInsider, he revealed that another familiar face will be entering the fray:

“We revisit a character we met early in Season 1 of Breaking Bad and haven’t seen since. It’s going to be a fun tip of the hat.”

This is almost something that we don’t want to speculate about too much in fear of guessing right, but we imagine that one way or another, this will be fun. While we’re not going to say that “Better Call Saul” season 1 was perfect (the whole saga in the finale was still a little disappointing and then some), we’ve developed a lot of good faith in the show over the years.

Of course with this all being said, we’d still argue that at the top of our own personal wishlist is some more flash-forwards to Cinnabon and Omaha, which we’re not sure is a road that Gilligan wants to go down … at least not yet. We also get the sense from the aforementioned story that he does not want to shove Jimmy McGill too far down the road to being Saul Goodman, mostly because this is a character who is still likable and there is something endearing about his journey.
