‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: When will Liz Keen’s fate be revealed?

The Blacklist logo any seasonFor those of you wondering whether or not Liz Keen will be freed on “The Blacklist” when the show returns to NBC, we have some big news: You won’t have to wait too long.

Within the two-part arc “The Director” beginning on January 7 and ending on the 14th, you will learn what lies ahead for Megan Boone’s character and what the result of her capture ends up being. The January 21 episode entitled “Mr. Gregory DeVry” is going to be a sea change for the show in many ways; we’re not going to give away the entire synopsis now (some of it is a little too spoiler-heavy, and we don’t like to ruin a storyline), but the part of it that you see below makes it clear that Red may actually be collaborating with the task force once more:

“Red (James Spader) works with the task force to infiltrate an assembly of high-level criminals at large in a rare, risky opportunity to capture the heads of the world’s most lethal organized crime syndicates.”

This episode of the show may be just as important, if not more so, than any other installment this season to date. After all, it has the challenge of kicking off a new story arc, and getting everyone hooked on that to go along with it. The show has done a good job of reinventing itself over the years, but it will become more and more difficult as there are only so many different new avenues for it to explore.
